The St. Xavier’s – Conference rooms are placed within a very contextual Chapel complex, the building itself and the adjoining landscaped plaza form the foreground to the Church entrance.

The architecture required to accommodate this while also re-using the stone masonry from the earlier existing building, all within a very tight budget. The design therefore fused the readily available / traditional materials with their modern counterparts into a product that maintains with the context while making a contemporary statement of its own. The clients need of maximum daylight was addressed with the use of concrete jaalis in the stairwells and floor to ceiling windows as well as skylights.
